Cat. #0030024121: ELLIOTT REID

Uncommon vintage blue felt-tip pen signature on a 3x5-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by a busy Los Angeles-based autograph hound in the 1990s. In good condition, accompanied by a small computer-printed image of the star. Political satirist and actor Elliott Reid began his career as part of Orson Welles' Mercury Theater. Onscreen, he was memorable as a mixed bag of rubes, cads and men of authority in films like The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944), A Double Life (1947), Vicki (1953), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), Inherit the Wind (1960), The Absent-minded Professor (1961), Son of Flubber (1963), and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963). His prolific television work included character roles on "I Love Lucy" (1955), "The Lucy Show" (1963-1965), "Here's Lucy" (1969-1974), "The Odd Couple" (1972), and "All in the Family" (1976).
