Cat. #0020732: JED PROUTY

Scarce vintage bold pencil signature on a 4x5-inch portion of a tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1937 and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition, beyond some evident trimming from a slightly larger leaf. Plump vaudevillian-turned-movie character actor Jed Prouty, who affected a stutter for comic affect, was memorable in the Jones Family series of the 1930s and 1940s, cast opposite Spring Byington.
