Cat. #000458: ETTORE BASTIANINI

Exceedingly rare vintage 4x6-inch double-weight semi-glossy portrait as Rigoletto, boldly signed in blue fountain pen in 1960, when he performed the role at La Scala. In very fine condition. Legendary operatic baritone Ettore Bastianini, a master of the bel canto tradition, was a true matinee idol at the Met, La Scala and the Vienna State Opera, until his tragic death of throat cancer, aged only 44 years.
